Structure (in lab):
General blood test
Indicates: hemoglobin, red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets.

Assesses the general condition of the body and helps to detect anemia, one of the most common conditions in plant-based diets.
Glucose
Shows: fasting blood sugar level.

Control of carbohydrate metabolism is especially important with high consumption of cereals, fruits and vegetable carbohydrates.
Vitamin D
Shows: the concentration of vitamin D in the blood.

Often lowered in those who do not consume fatty fish, eggs, dairy products. Important for immunity, bones and energy metabolism.
Ferritin
Shows: the level of iron reserves in the body.

Iron from plant food is absorbed worse than from animal food. Low ferritin can be even with normal hemoglobin and lead to fatigue, hair loss and reduced endurance.
Vitamin B12
Shows: B12 level in the blood.

One of the key analyzes for vegans, since B12 is practically absent in plant foods. Its deficiency causes anemia, numbness, deterioration of memory and concentration.
General protein
Shows: the total level of all proteins in the blood.

Allows us to understand whether enough protein is received and absorbed from plant sources. Important for recovery, muscle mass and immune function.
Zinc
Shows: the level of a vital trace element.

One of the key trace elements, the disadvantage of which is often found in plant nutrition. Important for immunity, skin, hair and hormonal balance.
Folic acid (B9)
Shows: the level of folate in the blood.

Participates in the formation of blood cells and metabolism. Despite the fact that B9 is present in plants, with reduced digestibility or lack of B12, its functions may be impaired.
Calcium
Shows: the level of calcium in the blood.

If you refuse dairy products, there may be a deficiency of calcium, which affects the bones, teeth and nervous system. It is especially important for women and teenagers who are vegan.
