- get a prescription for most medications;
- see most specialists (cardiologists, neurologists, gastroenterologists, etc.), as a referral is required;
- undergo medical examinations (e.g., for work, school, or a driver’s license);
- get approval for elective surgery.
Without a referral from a general practitioner, you can make an appointment with the following specialists:

To ensure convenient and timely service, it is important to note that insurance coverage does not extend to a number of key administrative and organizational services. Specifically, online appointments, electronic prescriptions, appointment reminders, sending test results via email, and the option for online consultations—none of these are covered by insurance, yet they are an essential part of modern, high-quality medical care.
